The world is tired of complex software solutions, and you can help change it

“It is estimated that for every 25% increase in complexity in the tasks to be automated, the complexity of the software solution itself rises by 100%.” – Cynthia Rettig, MIT Sloane Management Review

Wouldn’t it be great to empower software developers to get out of the noise generated by time-consuming, complex software applications and to be able to focus on the big picture?

Kyle Fugere asked, in this Venture Beat article,

“How can we take traditionally complicated, bland, and clunky software solutions (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and make them more user-friendly?”

We’ve been asking similar questions, especially in the context of ESBs. The world of Service Buses is overly complex and intricate. Most service buses are difficult to understand and complicated to use.

Warewolf is changing this landscape and is now the easiest service bus available. It can be deployed by anyone, into any system, anywhere, anytime… and it’s 100% open source and free.

“The Future of Work is Service-Oriented.”  – Jonathan Hassell, CIO Magazine
We have focused on:

  • Making Warewolf easy to learn and simple to use
  • Simple API management, easy integrations and painless maintenance
  • Utilising flow-based programming concepts in a visual platform
  • Design that encourages reuse and composition
  • Services that can be composed and distributed with only a few clicks
  • Visual business processes so developers can quickly grasp them without having to deeply understand someone else’s code.
  • Making it easy for business to collaborate with IT in a visual IDE

Who needs to be involved?

The GitHub repository was opened to the public in October 2014. We are inviting C# developers from the open source development community to get involved in this exciting breakthrough.
